Sloka 15: Manojapam

Manojapam maaruthi thulya vegam
Jitendriyam Buddhimataam varishta
Vaataathmajam vaanara yootha mukhyam
Shri Raama dhootham sharanam prapadhye

Prostrations to Shri Hanuman
Who is as swift as the mind and as fast as the wind
Who is the master of  the senses, and honored for his intelligence and wisdom
Who is the son of Wind god and chief of vaanaras
I prostrate to that messenger of Shri Raama

Sloka 14: Agajaanana

Agajaanana padmaarkam
Gajaananam Aharnisham
Aneka dhamtam Bhaktanaam
Eka dantam upaasmahe

As the rays from the lotus face of Gauri
is always on her beloved son Gajaanana
Similarly, the grace of Shri Ganesha is always on his devotees granting their many prayers
the devotees who with deep devotion worship Lord Ekadanta (one with a single tusk)

Sloka 13: Mooshika vaahana

Mooshika vaahana modaka hastha
Chaamara karna vilambitha sutra
Vaamana roopa masheshwara putra
Vighna Vinayaka pada namaste

Salutations to Lord Vinayaka
Who has the mouse as vaahana, modaka in his hands
Who has large ears like fans and wears a long sacred thread
Who is short in stature and son of Lord Maheshwara
Prostrations at the feet of Shri Vighna Vinayaka, the remover of obstacles

Sloka 12: Gajaananam

Gajaananam Bhoota ganaadi sevitam
Kapitha jambu phala saara bhakshitham
Uma sutham shoka vinaasha kaaranam
Namaami vigneshwara paada pankajam

I salute Shri Gajaanana (one with an elephant face)
Who is served by the Bhoota ganaas (Celestial attendants)
Who eats the fruits Kapitha (wood apple) and Jambu (rose apple)
Who is the son of Uma and the cause of destruction of sorrows
I prostrate at the lotus feet of Shri Vighneshwara ( one who removes obstacles)

Sloka 11: Shuklaam

Shuklaam Bharadharam Vishnum
Sashi varnam Chatur bhujam
Prasanna vadanam dhyaayeth
Sarva vighnopa Shaantaye

We mediate on Shri Vishnu who is
wearing white clothes
bright in appearance like the moon and has four hands
has a gracious face
Let us meditate on him to remove all obstacles

Varade kaama roopini
Vidyarambham karishyaami
Siddhir bhavatu mein sada


Salutations to Goddess Saraswati
Who is the fulfiller of all my wishes
I shall begin my studies
May I be successful always
